Often, women do double duty. They are the first up in the morning and the last to go to bed at night. They work and they come home and are the primary caregivers in the family. They often organize and run the household, prepare meals, clean, and so forth. They need to be sensitive to spouses and kids, alert to problems and issues in the family, good listeners, empathetic, etc. If they lose sleep, the family can suffer. They can be cranky, irritable, and short-tempered with spouses and children.
